Samsung continues expanding its already confusing smartphone line-up by adding yet another budget-friendly handset in the Mix. As the title above suggests, I'm referring to the Galaxy Core, a new gadget that boasts dual-SIM capabilities and an overall design that reminds us of a miniature Samsung Galaxy S3 (yet it's not the Galaxy S3 Mini).

So, let's get straight to the point and take a look at what we can expect from the Core in terms of hardware and software. The handset packs a 4.3 inch 480 x 800 display with a pixel density of 217 pixels per inch, a dual-core processor running at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, a 5 MP camera on the back and a 1,800 mAh battery under the hood.

Software-wise, the gadget arrives with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and as expected, the TouchWiz Nature user interface on top. The UI will include familiar features such as Smart Alerts, Smart Stay, S Voice and more.

Also, the Galaxy Core will be available in two flavors –as suggested by the image above- those being white and blue (possibly named Pebble and Pearl as on the Galaxy S3).

As for availability, the gadget is expected to be released in May, though it's unclear which markets the Core is targeted at. There's also a single-SIM variant expected to arrive, but this model will go on sale starting with July. The price is also unclear, but more information is bound to surface sooner rather than later.

Would anyone be interested in this gadget?
