The HTC One has been released in the States via three major carriers; those being T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint. However, Verizon hasn't really rushed into retailing this particular gadget, and logic dictates that the reason why the carrier hasn't been in a rush to deliver the One is because it already had a 5 inch 1080p flagship device on its shelves – the DROID DNA.

Nevertheless, the HTC One is a newer, more powerful device, and Verizon customers have been eager to learn whether or not the carrier in question will eventually launch this particular handset. During the past several months, rumors have gone both ways. It's been a real rollercoaster ride, with inside sources claiming that the One will be launched by Verizon later in the year, and with HTC themselves denying these rumors.

Furthermore, the unveiling of the HTC Butterfly S also gave birth to the idea that the One will never arrive on Big Red's shelves, but that the Butterfly S could be the next Droid DNA (2). Fortunately, not long ago Verizon has finally confirmed that it will eventually retail the device sometime by the end of this summer. No exact release date has been given.

Now, judging by a leaked image that has surfaced via @evleaks –a well-known inside source concerning HTC and the mobile market in general- the HTC One might make its way at Verizon a bit earlier than "later this summer".

The image supposedly depicts a leaked press render of Verizon's One. At first glance, there's not much evidence to support the theory that this is a press render of Verizon's variant, but one thing that gives it away is the "4G LTE" branding in the notification area / status bar.

Another interesting aspect is that, if this is indeed the HTC One at Verizon, then the gadget doesn't seem to have the carrier's logo on the front panel. Big Red is well known for its tendency to slap its logo both on the rear and the front end of its smartphones. However, this rule might be bent with the arrival of the HTC One.

All in all, although there's still no exact release date in sight, the presence of this press render might indicate that Big Red could get ready to release the handset sooner rather than later. Would you still be interested in buying one?
