Dialing from contacts

Does anyone else find it difficult to dial from your contact list?? Today, i went to dial my friend who lives about 7 cities away from me and i dont remember her number off hand, infact i dont even KNOW her number at all. So what happend was i had talked to her on my other phone ( a FULLY charged sanyo 9000 ) until the battery died ( 1 hour )! so i got my sidekick and went to my contact list and clicked her name and hit the green button to call her and it scrolled down instead of calling. I than clicked her name, scrolled down to her number and then clicked on number and hit the green call button and still, nothing. Thank god, she called me within the 3 minutes and i talked to her but still the point is.. i dont know how to dial from my adress book...

does anyone else know how to do this?

im not sure or if i remember try going to main screen and see a contact list and click on the number and not the name to call i think its either the sidekick or the treo lol i dont remember so many phones i had

If you read my post correctly, thats what i did and it didnt work. Thanks for the input anyway..

Anyone else have any ideas? I cant believe this is becoming such an extensive search! Usually, going to ur adress book and clicking a contacts name and or number, and then pressing the talk/send button, works.. In my case, its not working and i dont understand why! Could my phone be defective or is this the case with all sidekicks?

hmmm

SIMPLE... go to address book go to the name you want to call, and scroll down til phone nbr highlighted.. click MENU button, then scroll down to Call [ph nbr] viola you're there to dial from ur address book...

OR

click SEND button under on phone number in address book either way...

thank you bigbuck! do you have ANY idea how long ive been playing with this trying to figure that out??? ugh.. im so use to my sanyo where i just scroll down to the name and hit talk and there i go.. but on the sidekick, it was a bit more difficult, thanks for telling me this. makes things ALOT easier for me =) rep points for u, from me!!
