A Sim car is basically a card that is given by the phone service, such as ATT or Cingluar, it stores your phone number, and gives out a signal to your service provider. To be able to use the phone above, it must be unlocked so it can be used with any Sim card.

I don't think Sprint PCS uses a GSM service. This means that your company doesn't come with a sim card. GSM company's here in California are T-Mobile, AT&T and Cingular. That's about it. So if you were to get a phone you want to use for Sprint I'd suggest a CDMA phone.

Sprint and Verizon use CDMA, so u can't use this phone. They may release a CDMA version of it eventually tho. Ur kind of phone has something like a Subscriber Identification Module card (SIM) but it's internal and can't be removed. It's how the network knows which phone is assigned to ur account.
