i still have cousins thats are still using an 8210(Asian 8290), 6110(Asian 6190), and a couple of them are on 3310's(Asian 3390). Most of them had symbian phones, until the cabir and commwarrior roamed freely on bluetooth, one of my cousins got one and her phne turned into a brick, so all of them went back to old school.
And just saw a guy this morning still using a 5190 WOW. im still using my 7210, cant part with it, still works great for me, I use it for Tmobile.
now, who still uses their old school phones. Thumbs up to you guys lets show the new phones what the old school phones are still capable of

Re: Who still uses the old school phones, anyone you saw using one lately
I still have a 5190 from my old Fido days, but since I use CDMA now, I can't use the 5190 anyways.
I used a Motorola V60i a few months back for a while, that's an old-school handset, but worked awesome !
As a phone, most older handsets are much better than current day phones. There are some exceptions, yes, but there are lots of "new" phones that can't even compare to old phones like the Moto V60, Samsung N370, and such.

One of my friends just recently upgraded from a Samsung N200 through Sprint. He didn't want to let it go because he had never had any problems with it.

Does a Motorola V60s count? I still use that once in awhile when I get bored. The speaker on it is amazing since it was designed initially for VZW PTT, with that feature disabled.

I had a customer in my store the other day with an LG TM510. I couldn't convince her to upgrade her phone, but she bought a new battery and changed her plan.

i saw a guy with one of those old nokias, real old, maybe 10 years old. forget the model number, i just pickaxe-and-sludgehammered one the other day, cant remember what i said the model number was. it was the one of the more popular ones that everyone had when they were popular. and, they also sell the phone with a prepaid service in eckerds which is a drug store by where i live.

Re: Who still uses the old school phones, anyone you saw using one lately
My dad's rule with his cell phones is 'till death do us part. He had a Motorola StarTAC from 1999-2004. He now has that weird Audiovox (I think it's the 8900 or something like that) with the blue lights on the siide. His contract has been over for about a year now (although Verizon cheated us by extending his contract 6 months when I got my phone and started a family plan) and really wants and needs a QWERTY phone.
But my friend has a blocky old Moto 120c on Verizon. It's a hand-me-down phone. I feel so sorry for those kids. I had that phone on Qwest for a while (less than 2 years) until the screen wouldn't refresh.
My brother had this Nokia Bar on the old Cellular One for the longest time (about 5 years) and then he came with us to Verizon and got my phone (A670) until it snapped in half. I have a feeling mine will follow suit. What's my girlfriend doing in your five?

The Startac and the V120c were awesome phones. So were those older Nokia brick phones. They're ugly, but they work really well, and they never break. It's too bad that there aren't any more phones like that for farmer joe or grandpa earl that don't need anything fancy.

I have seen many people with those Nokia bricks and they work well, new phones sometimes are much more delicate than they used to be; many new features but not always receive a good signal as old ones.
