    I dont know much about these UNLOCKED Phones but I have a Cingular Wireless contract with a Motorola phone that is only @ 1 year.

    If I get this unlocked phone would I be able to keep the same number as my current phone w/o CIngular knowing?

    Thanks for your help,
    Brian

    Yes, as long as the unlocked phone supports both the 850/1900 bands. You will probably need to configure Cingular's MMS and internet settings for the phone though. You can try that here: https://onlinecare.cingular.com/supp...device-support

    if u Get a QuadBand Unlocked Phone all you have do is charge it and pop in ur simCard and ur good 2 go.
    you will still need a service provider/carrier unlocked phone means that the phone isnt branded by any carrier and it can be used world wide with different gsm carriers. it doesnt come with any service.

    gsm carriers = t mobile, cingular etc..
    cdma = verizion
