It, of course, depends on what your mean, but GSM is the world standard and works in most parts of the world.

GSM is the new technology. TDMA/CDMA is really old. So of course its GSM. Why are you an iDEN network hater? you didnt mention it at all. I have an iDEN phone.

It depends where you live. I think that GSM is the most popular standard. And it has been already stated that it's a worldwide standard

CDMA is better for a lot of reasons. #1 being EVDO. Only problem I have is the phone selection.
