Re: Prolonging your cellphone's battery life
Well; I have read & been told that you are supposed to wait until your battery is down all the way. And have also heard it's a no-no to charge your phone while it's on. Which I do agree with that. My friend was shocked one time by answering hers while it was charging. That's a true story.
And have also heard it's good to power your phone on & off at least once a week. I know this has nothing really to do with the battery. But it does speed my phone up.

Re: Prolonging your cellphone's battery life
Temperature control is another factor in looking after your cellphone battery. Your machine will work best at room temperature. If you have left your cellphone outside or even in the car overnight, then let it warm up inside first before using. As well as cold temperatures the same principle applies to extreme warm aswell. Be mindful of not letting your cellphone out in the sun or leaving it laying on the dashboard of your car in the summer.
Regular charging of your cellphone is also very advisable. Do not let your cellphone go dead flat. Try to get into the habit of leaving your cellphone on charge at least once a week or even better every night before you go to bed.
Do you really need the backlighting facility? This is one of the major sources of power consumption on your cellphone.

Re: Prolonging your cellphone's battery life
Hm..
Prolonging your battery life= long term use?
I would just keep out of extreme temperatures, while charging my phone when needed and disconnecting the charger when it is at 100%.
Turn off wi-fi, bluetooth, and gps when you are not using it.

Re: Prolonging your cellphone's battery life
Ever since I made the jump from BlackBerry to countless other mobile platforms, I have been primarily displeased with battery life. Some platforms are clearly less power-hungry than others, but in all of my testing and probing, I have yet to find any device that truly matches the longevity of a 'Berry. Instead of charging my phone once every two or three days, I've been forced to charge my phones every day, if not twice per day.
