How is it possible to text someone at 10pm and not have the text reach them until 5 am the next day? Probably not that big of a deal until say a restraining order was placed in between those times and by getting the original text delayed until 5am now casues a violation to the restraining order.

I've called verizon and have spoken to a 1/2 dozen customer service reps and they all agree that this can happen and that text messages get delayed all the time, sometimes by 10 minutes to 10 hours to even days. No one will actually put it in writing though? As soon as you mention anything about court they "wash their hands" of it. I wish someone could explain how text messages can be delayed and that it does in fact happen.

I'm positive that in court this will all be resolved since the text clearly shows it was intended before any restraining order was given, but the courts do like to "twist" how things look sometimes and I would like to be safe. Can anyone help me with this? Please.

I do know that text messages get delayed but first time I've heard about such occurrence being associated with legal matters. Best thing to do is to consult a lawyer about this
