I am getting a new phone tonight. I've been planning on getting the Palm Pixi Plus, but after more research, apparently the camera is bad and the phone is very laggy. I'm not sure if there's anything better for me out there, so I'm looking to the people who know phones better than me to help me out. (Also was wondering if anyone knows if you use Palm Pixi Plus, does it require a data plan?)
What I want:
good camera (don't have my own digital one)
qwerty keyboard
INEXPENSIVE
verizon
does not require data plan
Text-messaging oriented
Does not want:
I'm not big on 100% touchscreen phones
cannot be expensive
PS - one reason why I also was really attracted to the Palm Pixi Plus is the free 3G Mobile Hotspot. any other phones that have that would be a huge plus.
thank you in advance!!

I'm going off the list here. Have you seen Samsung Corby Pro, its a touchscreen but hear me out. It has qwerty keyboard and its very easy to use or text with. It has Wifi and has a good camera, 3 megapixels I think. And it is not expensive. You should look it up. Its a good phone.

Any of the Palm phones require a data plan. Unfortunately you're definitely going to get mobile hotspot without a data plan, which at the lowest is $50 a month extra. The most basic data plan (2gb) is $30/month.
The only phones that do not require a data plan right now are here: Set Your Location
