I love my Galaxy SIII but I'm thinking about switching to iphone when the new one comes out this September. I had my iPod stolen and I'd like to buy the iPhone to use as my main music player as well as my phone b/c my iTunes library is precious to me. I've been doing some research but I can't seem to find sufficient information.

I would like to hear from people that have owned and lived with both the android os and ios. What are the major drawbacks/advantages of each vs the other? What will I miss about android when getting used to ios?

I also saw somewhere that the iPhone does not support flash. Is this a major concern?

Just to give an idea of my daily phone usage, I text way more than I talk. I read the news in the morning on my phone during my commute to work and maybe check my social media a half dozen times in a day.

I would say i'm a moderate user. My Galaxy SIII battery is always dead a few a hours before I wish it was, which I know is a concern for pretty much all smart phones so I've gotten used to dealing with that. But is the iPhone battery life better or does it tend to be worse?

I know a lot of this is up in the air because we don't know exactly what the new iPhone will be like, but I've read that for the most part the hardware is not changing.

    Thanks!

P.S. I don't usually post in forums for fear of being eaten alive by the forum police if I post something in the wrong place. If I did so, please be easy on me. Sorry bout it. :P

Re: switching from android to iphone concerns

I can't comment on switching between the two, since I haven't done it myself, but I stopped using my ipod and started using a program called DoubleTwist for my podcasts and music on my SIII. You can import and manage your itunes library in it, sync without plugging in the phone to the computer, etc. It costs $9.99 but IMO it's worth it.

Re: switching from android to iphone concerns

I had a android and hopped to a iphone 4 then i went from the iphone 4 to the evo 3d then from the 3d to a windows 8 phone on T-Mobile (hated tmobile) and now im back with a sprint 4s.

I would say if personalizing is your thing then you will be upset with the iphone. But if you just want smooth stable os then the iphone is great, also a lot of games on the app store.
