Back Up Applications:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Swipe to Personal and tap Backup & reset
- To back up account data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to Googles servers, enable Back up my data
- To restore app data upon re-installing apps, enable Automatic restore
NOTE: Applications will be automatically restored upon the next time you log in with your Google account on the phone.
Back Up contacts:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to Settings
- Swipe to Accounts
- Select the account to sync contacts to
- Tap Menu > Sync now
NOTE: Contacts backed up this way will be automatically restored the next time you log into your Google account on the device.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the ZTE Obsidian to your computer via USB
- Swipe the Status bar down and enable Media device (MTP)
- On the computer, double-click Open device to view files and folders from the AutoPlay window, or otherwise navigate to the phones storage
- Locate the desired media files and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect it from the USB connector
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between your PC and ZTE Obsidian
- Drag the Status" bar down and make sure the phone is connected as a Media device (MTP)
- On the computer, in the AutoPlay window, choose to browse the phones files and folders
- Locate the Media directory
- Open a second Explorer window and locate the backed up files on your PCs HDD
- Copy the files and transfer them back to your phone, preferably in the Media directory etc.
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the PC
