Back Up Application Data:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Scroll to Personal
- Tap Backup & reset
- Enable Back up my data to back up your Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and settings to your Google account
- Enable Automatic restore to allow your account to restored app data automatically upon reinstallation
NOTE: Backed up applications will also be automatically restored / re-installed upon signing in with your Google account for the first time on the phone, or after a factory reset.
Back Up Contacts:
- Open Settings
- Tap Accounts and select an account with which to sync contacts
- Tap Menu
- Tap Sync now
NOTE: Contacts restored this way can be automatically restored when you sign in with your Google account for the first time on a new phone, or after a factory reset.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the BLU and computer
- From the phones home screen, drag the status bar down and enable Media sync (MTP) if necessary
- On the computer, open an Explorer window and locate the media files stored on your phone
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and disconnect the device from the USB
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the BLU to the PC via USB
- Ensure the connection is set to Media sync (MTP)
- Use an Explorer window on the PC to locate the media file backups
- Copy the files and transfer them back on your phone, preferably in the Media folder or the directory they originate from
- After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the computer
