Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the Alcatel and PC
- On the home screen, swipe the Notification bar down and make sure Media device (MTP) is selected
- Open the File Explorer on your computer
- Locate the desired audio files you want to use for ringtones / notifications
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone, preferably in the Ringtones / Notification / Alarms directories located in the Media folder
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray, and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Tap Sound under Device
- Scroll to Call ringtone & vibrate and tap Phone ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Optionally, you can turn Also vibrate for calls on or off
Change a Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the phones internal storage or the SIM card.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > Menu
- Tap Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the phones Settings menu
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound & notifications
- Under Sound, tap Default Notification Sound
- Select the desired notification sound and tap OK
