Back Up Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to Settings
- Under Personal, tap Backup & reset
- Enable Back up my data to back up Wi-Fi passwords, settings, and account data to your Google account
- Enable Automatic Restore to allow your account to restore data automatically the next time you register with your Google account
Back Up Contacts Using a Google Account:
- Tap Apps > Settings
- Access Accounts
- Tap Google and select the account you want to use for contact sync
- Make sure Contacts is enabled, then tap Menu
- Tap Sync now
NOTE: Contacts backed up using the steps above will be restored automatically the next time you log in with your Google account (such as after a factory reset on the phone).
Back Up Contacts to Storage:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Contacts
- Access the All Contacts tab
- Tap Menu > Import / Export
- Select to Export to storage
- Remember the backup files name for future use and tap OK
Restore Contacts from Storage:
- Open Contacts
- Go to All Contacts and tap Menu
- Tap Import / Export > Import from storage
- Wait for the phone to finish scanning the storage, then select the vCard you want to import
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the import
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the ZTE Avid Plus to your computer using the USB cord
- On the phones home screen, swipe the Status bar down
- Make sure the connection is set to Media Sync (MTP) / Media device
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on your phone
- Copy the desired files and transfer them in your backup location on your PC
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from system tray, and safely disconnect the device from USB
NOTE: To Restore media files from a computer, follow the first 3 steps above and then use File Explorer to copy the backup files from the computer back on the smartphone storage (preferably in the Media directory).
