    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and settings to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow your account to restore data automatically upon the next login

    Back Up Contacts Using a Google Account:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select “Google” and tap the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is enabled
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up to your Google account will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account. Otherwise, after a fresh login, follow the steps above again to re-sync contacts.

    Back Up Contacts to Storage:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Go to “All Contacts”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
    4. Select to export to storage, and remember the file’s name for future use
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    NOTE: To restore contacts from storage, follow the first 3 steps above and then select to “Import from storage”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Lenovo K5 Note and computer
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    3. If necessary, enable “Media sync (MTP)”
    4. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    5. Locate the media files on your phone
    6. Copy the files you want to back up and paste them on your PC storage in the desired backup location
    7. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
    8. It’s now safe to disconnect the device from the USB cord

    NOTE: To restore media files from a PC, follow the steps above, and simply transfer the files from the computer to the phone storage, preferably in the folders they originate from, or the “Media” folder.
