Back Up & Restore Application Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Personal
- Tap Backup & reset
- To back up Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and settings to your Google account, enable Back up my data
- To allow your account to restore data automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account, enable Automatic restore
Back Up & Restore Contacts Using a Google Account:
- Access the phones Settings menu
- Go to Accounts and tap Google
- Select the account you want to use for backing up the contacts
- Make sure the Contacts check box is ticked
- Tap Menu > Sync now
NOTE: Contacts synced using the method above will be automatically restored the next time you log in with the Google backup account. Otherwise, the contacts can be restored after the login by repeating the steps above, checking Contacts, and tapping Menu > Sync Now
Back Up & Restore Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the BLU Life XL and your computer
- On the phones home screen, swipe the Status bar down
- If necessary, enable Media device (MTP)
- On the computer, launch the File Explorer and locate the media files on your phone storage
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray
- Lastly, safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
NOTE: To restore media files from a Windows computer, follow the steps above to connect the BLU Life XL to your PC, and then copy the media file backups from the backup location on the PC and paste them back on the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory.
