Back Up App Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. To back up account data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your account, enable “Back up my data”
  5. To allow your account to restore data automatically when you sign in with your backup account the next time, enable “Automatic Restore”

Back Up Contacts on a Google Account:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Access” Accounts”
  4. Tap “Google” and select the account you want to use for contact syncing
  5. Make sure “Contacts” is enabled
  6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up on a Google account will be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the account. Otherwise, sign in with the account, and repeat the steps above to sync contacts with your phone.

Back Up Contacts to Storage:

  1. Tap “Contacts” on the home screen
  2. Access “All Contacts”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
  4. Select “Export to storage”
  5. Remember the file’s name for future use and tap “OK”

Restore Contacts from Storage:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Go to “All Contacts” and tap “Menu”
  3. Tap “Import / Export”
  4. Select to “Import from storage” and wait for the device to finish scanning for vCards
  5. Select the vCard you want to import
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the ZTE Blade L5 Plus and computer
  2. Swipe the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
  3. Enable “Media device (MTP)”
  4. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  5. Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
  6. Paste the files in the desired backup location on the computer
  7. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
  8. Safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the ZTE Blade L5 Plus to your computer
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  3. Turn on “Media device (MTP)”
  4. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  5. Navigate to the media files backed up on the computer
  6. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
  7. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
