Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to your account on a computer with Internet access, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use. To do this:
- Launch the Internet browser on your computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
- Import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the ZTE Axon 7 to your computer via USB, copy the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Sync iPhone Contacts With Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the ZTE Axon 7.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the ZTE Axon 7 and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require access to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup. This will create a backup file with your iPhone contacts
- Once done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard backup file is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the ZTE Axon 7, open the email, and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use to transfer contacts, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Google Play Store and install the app on the ZTE Axon 7
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method. For example, you can tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the ZTE camera to begin the transfer, or tap Receive on the ZTE Axon 7 and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
