Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Archos device and computer
- Enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media Device (MTP) from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the PC
- Locate the audio files on the PC storage
- Copy the files you want to use for ringtones and transfer them on the phone storage (preferably in the Ringtones / Alarms / Notifications folders)
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the Phones General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings and scroll to Device
- Tap Sound & Notification
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Optionally, turn Also vibrate for calls ON or OFF
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phones internal storage.
- Open Contacts
- Tap and hold the desired contact
- Tap Edit > Menu
- Tap Set ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Press OK to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open Settings and scroll to Device
- Tap Sound & Notification
- Tap Default notification ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK for confirmation
