Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Archos device to your computer via USB
- Enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media Device (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on the computer storage and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Alarms / Notifications directories
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound & Notification
- Select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap OK to confirm
- Optionally, you can enable or disable Also vibrate for calls
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the phones internal storage or the SIM card.
- Tap Contacts on the home screen
- Tap and hold the contact you want to modify
- Tap Edit > Menu
- Tap Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound & Notification
- Tap Default notification ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm
