Back Up & Restore App Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, Wi-Fi passwords etc. to your Google account
  6. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Go to “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type and the account you want to sync contacts with
  4. Check the “Contacts” tick box if necessary
  5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: To restore contacts backed up using this method, sign in with the Google backup account and follow the on-screen prompts.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the BLU Neo X2 to your computer via USB
  2. Turn “Media Device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” ON when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate and copy the media files from the phone storage
  5. Paste the files in the desired backup location on the PC
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the BLU Neo X2 to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media Device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups on the computer storage
  4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder they originate from
  5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
