Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account, and then sync the account data – including contacts – with the Android device.

  1. Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
  2. Open iTunes on the PC and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and choose an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. After the sync is done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: Assuming your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account you can sign in to your account on a computer with Internet access, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook using “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can backup and share contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Once the backup is complete, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android device and open the email
  7. Download the vCard attachment and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
