Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer and go to “Info”
  3. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu and sign in with the Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  5. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  6. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  7. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings”
  6. Click “Export vCard”
  7. After the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to the phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require access to a computer with an Internet connection, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts without computer access using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” and ensure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email and vCard to your own address
  5. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to the phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for contact transfer. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
