Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data including contacts with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes and click the iPhone
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account if available
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with access to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard and wait for the file to be downloaded
- Perform one of the following steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: You can share your iPhone contacts without computer access by using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third party app that can back up and share contacts in a vCard file via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, tap Email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for contact transfer, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
