Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes and click the iPhone once it connects
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require computer access alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- After the backup is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available for Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a PC.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Then select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
