Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an active Internet connection and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import its contents to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Via Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party Android and iOS app you can use for transferring contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android phone
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
