Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, such as contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard is downloaded on the computer:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the device and import its contents using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard
  3. Once the backup vCard is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. ON the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard on the Android device using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for contact transfer, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
