Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the file is downloaded:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or alternatively:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone and use Contacts to import its contents to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can share contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup. This will create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Tap Email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
