Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is downloaded:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import its contents to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Alternatively you can use third-party apps to share your iPhone contacts without computer access. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your contacts
- Once the backup is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for contact transfer, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Tap Send and select a transfer method on one of the phones
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
