Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes and access “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account ,you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the PC
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the file is downloaded:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
    • Connect the Android device to the PC via USB, copy the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with access to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can be used to back up and share contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” and make sure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  5. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Tap “Send” and select a transfer method
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
