Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Access the Info section and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once done, perform one of the following steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is created, tap Email
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android device and use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for contact transfer. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android phone
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
