Back Up & Restore App Data:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Go to “Backup & reset”
3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your backup account
4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow settings, app data, and passwords to be automatically restored the next time you log in with your backup account or when reinstalling apps

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

1. Open “Settings”
2. Access “Accounts”
3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing
4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account, or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the device.

Back Up Media Files on a PC:

1. Connect the phone to the PC via USB
2. On the device, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Navigate the media files on the phone
5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the computer
6. Then eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB

Restore Media Files from a PC:

1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin or the “Media” directory
6. After the transfer completes, safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
