Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts form iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once done, perform one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, you can also share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts over email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone via the App Store
- Open the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Then, compose a new email and attach the vCard
- Send the attachment to your own email address
- Switch to the Android phone and open the email
- Download the vCard and import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring access to a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Tap Send and then select a transfer method on one of the phones
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
