Transfer iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing one
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the desired contacts
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard” and follow one of the steps below:
    1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook using “Google Contacts” or:
    2. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Then, attach the vCard to a new email
  4. Send the vCard attachment to your own email address
  5. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android phone
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
