Back Up & Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Personal”
  3. Tap “Backup & Reset”
  4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up data to your account
  5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically when logging in with the backup account or reinstalling apps

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type and the desired account
  4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
  5. Tap “menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or by syncing the account data manually with the phone.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate the media files on the phone
  5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
  6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the SUB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the quick toggle area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC and locate the media file backups
  4. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage in the folders from where they originate
  5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
