Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Open “Settings” and access “Display”
  4. Go to “Advanced” and tap “Sleep” for timeout options
  5. Select a lower timeout value

Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Swipe up on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” > “Battery”
  3. Access “Battery optimization”
  4. You can tap an app to optimize it
  5. You can also tap “Menu” and enable “Advanced optimization”

Disable Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans. This can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap the “GPS” (Location) and Bluetooth quick toggles to turn the features off
  3. To disable Wi-Fi, tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggle
  4. Open “Settings” for more options
  5. To disable Wi-Fi hotspot, access “Network & Internet”
  6. Tap “Hotspot & Tethering” and select “Wi-Fi hotspot”
  7. Turn Wi-Fi hotspot off

Uninstall Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Third-party apps can perform background processes regularly, which can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. To remove third-party applications:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “See all apps”
  3. Select the desired app
  4. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. Swipe the home screen up from the bottom
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Go to “System” > “System update”
  4. Tap “Check for update”
  5. If updates are available, follow the prompts to download and apply them
