Clear App Cache or Data:
NOTE: If an app causes issues or doesnt work as intended, you can try solving these issues by clearing the app cache or data. WARNING! When you clear app data, all of your data stored within the app will be deleted. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
- Launch Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps and select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt solve the issues, tap clear data (check the Warning above)
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:
NOTE: Before you factory reset the device, make sure youve backed up all of your personal data.
- Launch Settings
- Go to System > Reset options
- To reset network settings, access Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap reset settings two times to confirm
- To reset app settings, tap Reset app preferences
- Tap Reset apps to confirm
- To reset the phone to factory values, tap Erase all data (factory reset) > Reset phone
- Tap Erase everything
Uninstall Apps from Safe Mode:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode, where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power on the home screen
- In the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- After the phone reboots, a Safe Mode watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
- To remove an app, first launch Settings then go to Apps & Notifications
- Ensure you view All apps
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, press and hold the Power key and tap Restart to reboot the phone normally
