Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left from the Notification shade
  3. Open “Settings”
  4. Go to “Display” > “Advanced”
  5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value

Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Open “Settings” and access “Battery”
  3. Tap “Battery optimization”
  4. Select an app to optimize and additionally, you can tap “menu” and enable “Advanced optimization”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when they are not actively in use, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve the phone’s battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down
  2. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “GPS (Location)” quick toggles to turn the features off
  3. To disable Wi-Fi, tap and hold the toggle and set the Wi-Fi switch Off
  4. Go to “Settings” for more options
  5. Tap “Network & Internet” > “Hotspot & Tethering”
  6. Tap “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and set the switch Off

Remove Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform background processes regularly and this can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. You might improve battery life by removing or disabling unused third-party apps.

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Go to “Apps & Notifications”
  4. Switch to “See all apps” and select the desired app
  5. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen and open “Settings”
  2. Access “System”
  3. Tap “System update” > “Check for update”
  4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and install the update
