Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If an app causes issues or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing the issues by clearing the apps cache or data. WARNING! When clearing an apps data, all of your data stored within the app will be deleted, including user profiles, login information, custom settings etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.
- On the home screen, swipe up from the bottom
- Open Settings
- Access Apps & Notifications
- Switch to See all apps
- Select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt solve the issues, tap Clear data (Check the WARNING above)
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Device:
NOTE: Before factory resetting the phone, ensure youve backed up all of your data.
- Launch Settings
- Go to System
- Tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, tap Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset tow times
- To reset app settings, access Reset app preferences and tap Reset apps
- To factory reset the phone, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone
- Tap Erase Everything to confirm
Uninstall Apps in Safe Mode:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power on the home screen
- In the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- Wait for the device to reboot, and once done, you should see a Safe Mode watermark in the lower area of the home screen
- Open Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Go to All apps if necessary and select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, reboot the device normally
