Clear App Data/Cache:
NOTE: If an app causes issues or takes up too much storage, you can try fixing it by clearing the apps data and cache.
WARNING! When clearing an apps data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. To avoid this, clear the app cache ONLY.
- Open Settings
- Access Apps & Notifications and switch to See all apps
- Select the desired app and tap Storage
- Tap Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt fix the issues, tap Clear data (Check the WARNING above)
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Phone:
NOTE: Make sure youve backed up all of your data before factory resetting the phone or otherwise you will lose it.
- Launch Settings
- Go to System and tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, tap Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- To reset app settings tap Reset app preferences > Reset apps
- To factory reset the phone, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset Phone > Erase everything
Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove Apps:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power on the home screen
- Tap and hold power off from the power management pop-up and accept to boot to Safe Mode
- Open Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to See all apps and select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, simply reboot the phone normally
