Ive had ATT Wireless forever now, but since the merger with Cingular it seems as though my coverage has dropped drastically. Ive never had so many dropped calls, crummy reception and 'network busy' signals.
I was just wondering if anyone has tried both Verizon and recent Cingular/ATT and how they compare as far as coverage/reception. I travel all over the nation (mostly east coast), so my local area (maine) isnt a big concern.
Thanks!!

I have a friend who has cingular/att and he has the same problem. bad reception. I have tried verizon myself and I would recommend it better than cingular. Verizon has good service.
I love my cellys

Thanks for the reply. Id be interested in hearing other peoples experiences as well. Surely out of all of the users on this forum, some must have tried (or know someone that has) both services.

Verizon's network on the east coast is growing. They do have US Cellular to fall on. Most of the east coast will be coverage by VZW.
Cingular has Rural Cellular for coverage and it is not always that great yet for GSM.
Cingular is a good choice on the east coast if you don't go north of Boston for the most part. The best provider gives you a plan with the minutes you need at the right price. The coverage that you need to make calls all the time.
