    Hi all,

    My cell: LG EnV Touch

    Last friday my contract with verizon was up. I didnt want to renew it because bottom line I feel I have been paying way too much for service and even with their new price drop for unlimited talk it was still rather high compared to other carriers. I had seen on TV ad's for Revol wireless and unlimited talk/txt would be $35 a month which is alot cheaper than what I was paying on.

    I took my cell up to a revol (autherozied dealer) and asked about the plan and to see if my phone could be used on the network. Guy at the shop said my phone was compatible to be flashed only thing I would loss as a feature would be sending pictures and internet which wasnt a big deal so I went with them. He flashed my phone collected money for first month of the plan/flashing. Later that night my phone started to power on and off sporatically. It never did that before so next day I called Revol from 611. Explained the situation and they asked me if when I went into the store did they have me sign a waiver. I said no i didnt sign anything. They said I should have been told that when the phone is flashed there is a possibility that the phone could be damaged. I explained he told me nothing. They advised me to take the phone back to the AR and have them look at it. I took the phone back and the guy said your phone isnt turning on and off now it works fine. Thing is I cant say when it will power off and on...its so random. I asked him about the waiver and he said I dont have to sign any waivers anything...i explained revol itself said even autherozied deale have to have their customers sign the waiver about flashing the phone according to guidelines set by revol itself. He said he doesnt know what wrong and bring it into a revol store. I got home and called a revol store explained everything and they said they couldnt look at it because they are not the one who flashed the phone and I would have to take it back - they also asked if I signed a waiver and I said I wasnt given one in which that autheroized dealer is now held liable for my phone being messed up. I called the store back and was going round and round and asked for the manager. Again i explained what happened and said I didnt have to sign any waiver. I said according to revol they require ALL autheroized dealers to have people sign this waiver. He said he would call revol and find out and call me back. At this point he offered me a loaner phone, and he asked about my warrantee on cell. I explained the phone is still under warrantee. He said call them and find out while he calls revol. I called LG and explained what was going on they said it sounds like a software issue which isnt covered under my plan. I would have to send the phone into them pay for s/h and anywhere from 50-100 to fix phone and it would be set back on verizon network. I called the manager back (revol) and explained what they told me. He said best he could do was offer me the loaner and take a look at my phone but at that point I had to goto work.

    Sunday the phone starts having another issue I couldnt send any text messages. I took the battery out seeing if that would help didnt...couldnt send or receive any texts, now some calls werent coming through and the phone was still powering on and off. I called 611 monday being the store I dealt with was closed and wanted to figure what was going on. The rep said she was looking through the records and saw a note that the manager i spoke to said when I came in I told his salesperson I had software issue already on the phone which is a straight out LIE...nothing was wrong with my phone and they are trying to get out of liability of damaging my phone. They suggested taking it into a revol store. I did that yesterday. They said the phone wasnt provised right and they reset everything. I was able to text and send/receive calls...but later on the phone starts to power on and off and it stopped sending text messages again.

    I dont know what to do...the guy at the autherized store didnt advise me that this flash could damage my phone..he didnt follow company procedures set forth by revol itself in terms of that waiver being signed and is lying by saying I took in a broken phone at the time it was flashed. What can I do??

    I did send a email to the address you posted.

    I wanted to update:

    I went back to the AR yesterday (Jan 26) with my phone that was still having all these issues. My thought was this...I didn't "trust" them to look at my phone to prevent further damage to the phone. What I thought would be a reasonable deal being now I was at a loss for my phone which I paid $99 and then factor in the cost it would me another $100 to LG to repair the damage they did. What I thought would be fair would to be to give me a Revol phone something comparable to the phone I had which only phone I found to be almost similar (minus the touch screen) was the Kyocera M2000. He said he could give it to me for $100. I said no way. I already lost out enough and am not going to give you one cent more not to mention the inconvenience this has caused me. Only option he gave me for replacing my phone was 4-5 really scuffed up phones. I took the LG AX260 phone and he wanted to take my phone and I was again like absolutely not when you will turn around and sell it when you could have easily given me the M2000. As I said I took the LG AX260 I needed to have a phone. He did not have me sign a "WAIVER" again when he flashed this phone. You think he would have learned from the first time. Furthermore this phone I have now is scratched up very bad, whoever had the phone last all their information was on the phone as well as pics/txt messages/contacts. This phone is nothing like the phone I had. Not to mention it is over 2yrs old. I think this is really horrible how they represent Revol. As I said the phone I have now is a HUGE downgrade in comparison to the phone i had (LG EnV Touch) This is pretty sad to have authorized retailer represent Revol Wireless like this, it is not good business practice.

    What an nightmare experience...if you are still having a problem check out Apex Global Wireless these guys probably can help you out...just enter the name into any search engine to get to their website.

    I've used them to activate Verizon and Alltel cell phones with no hassle and the phone did not need to be flashed or anything...plus i was able to save money because their unlimited plan was cheaper than what i was paying before under a contract.
