Hey everyone, i am researching AT&T MVNO's looking for the cheapest offer for text messaging.

I am touring the USA (Western states only, avoiding big cities, focusing on
small towns, the natural areas as well as on the road in between destinations). I'm going to be on the Pacific coast (Hwy 101) as well as the eastern sierras, the desert regions, the four corners, national parks, and rockies for a period of 3-6 months.

I have an unlocked old style Nokia brick phone (not a
smartphone) with GSM 850 / 1900 / 2100, triband.

I am interested in the pay as you go, simple plans for $10/month or less because of the large number of text messages i send. I'm ONLY interested in sending/receiving SMS (to local mobiles only). For example, 100-300 outgoing texts/month and probably an equal number of incoming SMS as well. Alltogether, it may add up to over 500SMS/month (incoming and outgoing combined).

I don't need any extras. No roaming, no international, no data, no nothing, just the cheapest local SMS. I will make/receive the occasional voice call, for example, a couple calls/week.

I'd like to avoid any hidden fees or charges on top of the $10/month, which is my maximum expense/month.

I am open to buying the SIm in store, on the home site or on amazon.

Based on my research here and elsewhere, i am leaning toward Pure Talk Mobile (even though the sticky about it is quiet old).

What do you think?

Thanks
