Our crew has been working on an app to make diagnosing problems with Android devices easier (battery issues, rogue apps, connectivity), and it would be great to get some feedback from the community. While it's not open-source, we did make this free version for you guys to tear apart and let us know what you think of it.

You'll need to register at login.crowdcare.com, download the CrowdCare Viewer app from Google Play, enter the provided PIN and then you're good to go. This is to help out our less than tech-savvy friends and family.

Just to be clear, this isn't an advertisement - but we know that the community knows best and could offer up right ideas on what we should change.

    Looking forward to your feedback,

    The CrowdCare Crew

Re: need community feedback for our Android app

    Here are some thoughts:
    • allow registration via the application on the phone
    • It's a little unclear what to do after sending info
    • There's a lot of information presented to the user. Perhaps any misconfigurations or things that are causing errors should be displayed first.
    • Maybe something that gives hints that would make the phone function faster, or warnings that the phone is out of memory/storage, etc.

Overall it looks very useful for phone based tech support though! I'm impressed.

Thanks John, really helpful feedback. We've got a lot of fine tuning to do at the moment so I appreciate you taking the time to get connected.
If you have more ideas or know of friends that could also lend their thoughts, give me a shout.

    Cheers!
