Back Up Applications:
- Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
- Access "Settings" and swipe to "Personal"
- Tap "Backup and reset"
- If necessary log in to your Google account, or tap "Backup account" > "Google Account" > "Add account"
- Mark the check boxes associated with "Back up my data" and "Backup account"
Back Up Contacts:
- Make sure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
- Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen and go to "Settings"
- Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup and reset"
- Tap "Backup account" and select "HTC Account" or "Google Account"
- Tap "Automatic Backup" to perform daily Wi-Fi beckups of your contacts
- To back up your phone contacts now, tap "Back up now"
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the HTC One ME and and PC
- In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Navigate to the media files stored on your phone
- Copy the files you want to back up, and paste them on your computer's hard drive
- Once the transfer is done, click "Safely Remove Hardware" > "Eject" in the system tray and clock
- You can now disconnect the phone from the PC
Back Up Media Files on a Mac:
- Connect the One ME to the Mac via USB
- Open the file explorer on the Mac and locate the media files stored on your phone
- Copy the files and transfer them onto your Mac's HDD
- Once the transfer is complete, drag the smartphone's virtual storage drive and drop it into "Trash / Eject"
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the Mac
