NOTE: You can visit this thread for instructions on how you can back up data on the HTC One A9.
Restore Applications:
- Ensure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings and scroll to Personal
- Tap Backup and reset > Restore from HTC backup
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process
Restore Contacts:
- Open the Settings menu
- Scroll to Personal and tap Accounts & Sync
- If necessary, sign in with the Google account you used for the backup
- Tap Menu
- Tap Sync all
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the One A9 to your computer via USB
- Open an Explorer window on the computer
- Locate the media files backed up on the PC, and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB
Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the HTC One A9 and Mac
- Open a file explorer window on the Mac
- Navigate to, and locate the media files backed up on the Mac
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone, preferably in the Media folder
- After the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop, and drop it inside the Trash can / Eject icon
- Once the storage is ejected, safely disconnect the phone from the USB
