    I was able to "tether" my EVO with the assistance of info I found on YouTube. Yours should be similar. Do a YouTube search.

    i can use my T-Mobile Mytouch 4G as USB data modem with the help of this steps:
    -Connect the phone to the computer using the provided USB cable.
    -When the device is connected, drag the notification bar down
    -Tap Select to change USB connection type
    -Tap USB Tethering.
    you have to download the USB tether driver, here you can find the driver download link. works like charm for me!
