I am preparing to get a new Sim card from Simple Mobile. They are gpoing to ask what size SIM Card I have. I do not have the phone yet so I can't look at the SIM Card socket. Does the Inspire take a SIM Card or a Micro SIM Card?

Re: HTC Inspire 4G SIM Card
Thank you, all. Iv'e got the phone, HTS Inspire 4G, now an have ordered the SIM card and service.
This morning I copied the contact info into my friend's storage card and then tried a copy of the storage card to my computer. All I got was the phone was recognized as a removable drive and asked me to insert a disk. What might I be doing wrong?

Re: HTC Inspire 4G SIM Card
To transfer files from your computer to your device’s storage card, you need to set the device’s storage card as a USB drive. Connect the device to the computer using the USB cable, and then choose Disk drive from the on-screen menu that appears. The storage card is now mounted as a USB drive. Drag and drop the desired files to your PC to back them up.
^This is not the way to tranfser contacts.
*Best way to transfer contacts is to sync old phone with Gmail account.

Thanks camstuf,
Now another question. This HTC Inspire has Android 2.3.3. How high can I go? How?

Re: HTC Inspire 4G SIM Card
To continue this thread. I now have the phone, an unlocked HTC Inspire 4G, I put the SIM card in and Activated the phone with Simple Mobile who uses the T-Mobile network.
I live in an apartment and found the following as I am setting up the phone;
1. I get minimal service in the apt., cannot call out or receive calls. When I go near a window the reception is better and I can make calls but they are iffy. If I step outside I have no problem making calls or receiving them.
2. As I am setting up the phone it becomes unresponsive to icon tapping. I keep tapping different icons and it finally responds, usually.
I have done a factory reset and began setting it up again. Still usually unresponsive. After the reset it still had ATT stuff on it as well as the two contacts I used for the test calls. Did I make a bad choice of phones? I got this phone so I could help out my friend who has an identical phone.Last edited by blockie1; 12-02-2012 at 10:22 AM.
