    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Backup and reset” under “Personal”
    4. Tap “Backup account”
    5. Select an account or tap “Google Account” > “Add account” to sign in with your account
    6. Enable “Back up my data” and “Backup account”

    Back Up Contacts on a Google or HTC Account:

    1. Make sure the phone is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
    2. Tao “Apps” on the home screen
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset”
    5. Select “HTC Account” or “Google Account”
    6. Enable “Automatic backup” to allow your phone to perform automatic daily backups over Wi-Fi
    7. To back up your contacts manually, tap “Back up now”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the HTC Bolt to your computer via USB
    2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC Bolt to your Mac via USB
    2. Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Finder on the Mac
    4. Use the Finder to locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the Mac storage
    6. Once the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “Trash can” to eject it
    7. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
